About
Radha Richmond, MA, MA, Ed.S, ABSNP is a Licensed Educational Psychologist (CA LEP #3249) and a diplomate of the American Board of School Neuropsychology, who has been practicing since 2008. Radha specializes in psychoeducational and school neuropsychological assessments for autism, inattention/hyperactivity (ADHD), executive functioning challenges, and learning disability assessments for difficulties in reading, writing, and math. Radha has a particular passion for dyslexia and other reading related difficulties as she believes that reading is fundamental to all other learning. She also has a passion for helping individuals with executive functioning challenges, as this is another area of skill that is essential to achieving any individual goal.
Radha conducts assessments for individuals from preschool to adult age, and for students from preschool to graduate school. She conducts private evaluations for individuals and families, as well as independent educational evaluations (IEE’s) for parents/school districts as an objective source of information for the IEP team.
Radha has conducted hundreds and hundreds of evaluations and focuses on providing quality, in-depth and holistic evaluations that provide meaningful information to benefit the individual (and family) being served. Radha’s goal in all of her evaluations is to empower the individual to walk away with a clear answer to the referral question as well as evidence-based, data driven recommendations for interventions and supports that will make a positive difference in the person’s life!
Radha has a deep knowledge of the teaching and learning process, having started her career as a classroom secondary teacher, and continuing on as a college/graduate level instructor at UC Santa Barbara, UC Davis, St. Mary’s College of California, and Brandman University. She has an in-depth knowledge of adult learners through this experience, as well as from the over 300+ presentations she has given to adults in the educational field, including teachers, principals, instructional assistants, school psychologists, speech therapists, behaviorists, and school counselors.
Radha also has expertise in special education programs, services, and special education law, having served as both a special education principal and a SELPA program specialist for a decade, providing consultation and support to school districts, special education directors, and site staff. Radha has helped to build numerous programs for students with autism, and has deep knowledge about evidenced-based practices for students with autism, having been a part of a state-wide organization designed to disseminate knowledge about such practices to school districts and families.
Radha’s extensive experience and expertise in the field of special education sets her apart from other practitioners, as she brings not only assessment expertise, but also teaching, legal and programmatic expertise as well.

I love helping people! I know it sounds cliche, but it really is true- I have dedicated my whole life to helping others, in both formal and informal capacities. As a teacher, however, is where I gained my thirst for unlocking the answers to why some children were able to learn and thrive in school and some were not. Becoming frustrated with my own limited knowledge of learning processes and how to differentiate instruction so that all of my students had access to the curriculum and could thrive, is what started me on my journey towards educational psychology.
Why do I do what I do?
Years later, having my own child added to my interest in the topic and truly gave me a different perspective into the hearts and minds of all the parents I work with. This only further fueled my compassion and empathy for the individuals that I serve.
Lastly, I love working with people! I am constantly in awe of the strength, resiliency, unique talents, interests, and abilities of the people who I work with and serve! Getting to know and work with so many different people and to be able to get to know their individual stories and lives is such a privilege and an honor.
